I am motivated to solve pressing global conservation problems. I am interested in the intricate ties between people and the environment, and my research investigates social and ecological themes to better understand how social-ecological systems function, and how we can more effectively conserve and manage natural systems. The central focus of my research has been conservation decision making – connecting ecological, social and economic data with decision science to determine optimal resource allocation to conserve and manage species, habitats and services.
