Since landing at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the fall of 2013, I have been working towards master's degrees in both Water Resources Management and Freshwater & Marine Sciences. My research has allowed me to gain experience working in a variety of ecosystems ranging from small scale fisheries restoration projects to large scale Lake Michigan white sucker spawning runs.
My broad interests lie in fisheries management and ecology, environmental risk assessment, fish consumption advisory outreach, watershed management, methyl mercury and habitat restoration. Specifically, I am interested in understanding and mitigating anthropocentric impacts on and within nature, so that we can live with and adapt responsibly to the changing world around us while maintaining our precious water resources.
