My research interests focus on the hydrology, ecology, and management of freshwater streams and lakes, particularly in the context of environmental change and human development. I’m interested in how freshwater species and their habitat express a range of reactions to environmental change due to the geomorphic complexity of watersheds. My research from Alaskan salmon bearing streams, northern Wisconsin lakes, and coastal streams of Hawaii provides critical contrast in how physical features of watersheds support diverse hydrologic and biological responses to environmental change.
