Curriculum Vitae

I study the impacts of anthropogenic activities on freshwater ecosystems at the global scale, particularly wetlands and rivers. My background consists of a mixture of ecology, hydrology, and geosciences.

Broadly, my PhD focuses study on wetland degradation, freshwater ecosystem stressors and conservation at the global scale. This research makes use of the Global Inundation Extent from Multi-Satellites – Downscaled to 15 arc-seconds (GIEMS-D15) map I developed during my M.Sc with Bernhard Lehner. Other aspects of my PhD research focus on macro-ecological patterns of freshwater fish, and the mapping of diversity hotspots.
